Why I Shoot
I love what I do and it shows! The eternal people-watcher, I love watching people interact, celebrate, laugh, love, and get lost in moments and to be able to capture those memories and flashes of time is addicting. I shoot because I can't not shoot.
My career for two decades found me working with amazing people in an industry I believe in -- addiction and recovery. Peddlers of hope! I think it was because of being around others transforming from such a hard place that when I found myself asking "what is my purpose" after the death of my mother, I had the courage to make some changes that embraced passion over security, creativity over calm and I leapt toward my dream of being a photographer. I believe it is true what they say...if you do what you love for a living, you'll never work a day in your life. A collector of memories and moments, seeing the art in everyone and everywhere --- this is my creative calling.
I am a member of the Florida Professional Photographers Association and Professional Photographers of America. I am always studying and pursing opportunities to expand my craft so I can provide my clients their best experience and images that stand the test of time.
Service work and giving back is a big part of who I am in this human family. A percentage of all my session fees are donated to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation to help fund the research, prevention, and treatment of breast cancer. Every client has the option of the donation portion of their session fee to go to a charity closer to their heart. About My Photography
I am dedicated to capturing your special moments and preserving your memories for an affordable price. I specialize in lifestyle, on location photography, and serve Tampa Bay and all surrounding areas. My style of photography is a blend of traditional and photojournalism and though I will guide you in posing and composition that is flattering, engaging, and brings out your best look, I am a believer that moments are best captured naturally so I tend to create a look that is more lifestyle and storytelling.
I prefer to shoot using natural light and am always on the scout for locations that lend themselves to a storytelling or photojournalistic feel. However, I will use creative lighting in settings that need that extra pop.
My photography services include: Weddings, Vow Renewals, Anniversaries, Engagement and Couples, Families, Senior and Graduates, Modeling, Headshots, Personal Branding, Labor and Birth, and Special Events.
